Customer behaviour and expectations software provider Sceenic has announced a partnership with Spanish league football governing body LaLiga to run a pilot to keep the social interaction within the same platform.
Sceenic’s “Watch Together” software allows friends to set up an on-screen chat that appears in a vertical bar to the right of the video programming on their screens. The friends can talk about the programming in real time as they watch the show.
LaLiga and Sceenic have launched a ‘Watch Together’ pilot that allows groups of fans to stream matches together in real time. The solution will be integrated into LaLiga’s OTT platform then made available for LaLiga Sports TV users after the pilot period.
The deal will see Sceenic’s Skype-style watch together technology integrated into LaLigaSportsTV for an initial trial period. The feature will then be made available to the streaming platform’s users, enabling viewers to watch, react and comment in real-time with their friends as if they are in the same room.
